Meet Our Paralegals

Courtney Reheiser

Courtney Bishop, Managing Paralegal

Courtney Bishop joined Bristle Law in 2016. She is the Managing Paralegal at Bristle Law. Courtney’s first career was in nursing. However, after having a family of her own and subsequently going through a divorce herself, she found that she had a genuine passion for law, specifically family law. Courtney works directly with the Managing Partner and Owner of Bristle Law, Anna Bristle, on all of her cases. She is actively involved in all aspects of case management, the daily firm operations, and is a wealth of knowledge regarding court processes and procedures in all local jurisdictions. Courtney has a Paralegal Certificate from George Mason University. Additionally, after joining Bristle Law, Courtney decided to go back to school to earn a degree in Law and Public Policy. Courtney is working on earning her Juris Master in American Legal Studies from Liberty University. Courtney also serves on the Virginia State Bar District Committee for the Fifth District of Virginia, which governs disciplinary action for attorney misconduct.

Courtney truly loves all aspects of the law, but none more than client connection and helping people through some of the most stressful times in their lives. She is proud to be able to bring both knowledge and personal experience to her work here at Bristle Law.

Krista Carter

Krista Carter, Paralegal

Krista Carter is a legal assistant with Bristle Law working hand in hand with our attorneys in the areas of family law and criminal law. Krista has 5+ years working in the legal field, working first in the bail bonding sector. Krista came to Bristle Law in 2019 and has become an invaluable member of our legal team.

Krista has lived and worked in the Northern Virginia area her entire life. Through her legal career Krista has had extensive experience with the court processes and procedures in Fairfax, Arlington, Loudoun, Prince William, Stafford, Spotsylvania and Fauquier Counties. Krista thoroughly enjoys assisting clients and attorneys through some of the most personal and difficult situations that shape the futures of themselves and their families. Krista’s experience in the court system has given her the knowledge to effectively assist in managing cases, navigating the procedural processes of the courts, and helping clients understand what to expect in each step of their cases.

In her free time Krista enjoys being a wife and mother, to both human children and fur children. She can typically be found enjoying the beautiful Virginia outdoors, specifically the rivers and lakes as she is a tubing and kayaking enthusiast.
